Beet and Carrot Juice

This Beet and Carrot Juice recipe is delicious and easy to make. Use fresh ginger and navel oranges to make this refreshing juicing recipe.

This beet juice recipe features oranges, ginger, and carrots for a sweet and zing-y juice that tastes great! Beet juice by itself has an earthy flavor, but mixed with sweet citrus flavors it tastes amazing!

Years ago I was an avid juicer. Recipes like this beet and carrot juice were my favorite drink of choice. As a teenager, I juiced almost daily, at one point working myself up to drinking 30 oz every single morning!

At that time I didn’t even drink coffee, and I had crazy amounts of energy from juicing.

Lately I am making an effort to juice more because the I really do notice a difference in how I feel when I am getting those extra nutrients!

Carrots have always been one of my favorite vegetables, and are perfect for juicing because they add a great natural sweetness to the recipe.

How to make beet and carrot juice

Step 1: Prepare your ingredients. Peel your beet and quarter it. Wash off the carrots (or peel them) and peel the fresh ginger. Cut off the rinds from the orange, then cut them into slices that will fit in your juicer.

Step 2: Run all ingredients through a juicer and enjoy immediately or save for later.

Is juicing or blending better?

Juicing removes the fiber from your fruits and vegetables, so there is a debate if juicing or blending is better to do.

For me, juicing helps me to consume the nutrients of many more fruits and vegetables by drinking them all at once. Everyone will have a different opinion on this, but personally I love the way that I feel when I drink fresh juice!

I like adding beet juice into my rotation once every week or two and this recipe is my favorite way to drink it!

How to store fresh juice

Homemade juice is really best when served fresh, but you can also store it in the refrigerator for up to 24-48 hours.

Store leftover beet and carrot juice in an airtight jar with a lid in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. I usually try to drink any leftover juice within 24 hours for best freshness.

Tip: Fill the glass all the way to the top before putting the lid on for best results.
